Lady Gaga – Telephone Video ft. Beyoncé

March 12, 2010

LADY GAGA’S EPIC NEW VIDEO FOR “TELEPHONE” FEATURING BEYONCÉ TO MAKE ITS WORLDWIDE DEBUT EXCLUSIVELY ON E! NEWS THURSDAY, MARCH 11 AT 11:30PM ONLINE PREMIERE AT VEVO.COM AND LADYGAGA.COM

Gritty, erotic and wildly fierce, this nine-minute, visually stunning, cinematic masterpiece features the inimitable Beyoncé and is helmed by famed music video director Jonas Akerlund. Rich with Gaga’s unique dance stylings, iconic costume design and unworldly hair and make-up, this is far from your typical music video.

Lady Gaga has said that the video for “Telephone” picks up where “Paparazzi” left off but will surpass its predecessor.

Lady Gaga Robbed of Several Grammy Awards

February 1, 2010

GOOD NEWS:  Lady Gaga WON two awards during the pre-show telecast of the Grammy Awards.   Best Dance Recording for “Poker Face” and Best Electronic/Dance Album for The Fame.   Congratulations Gaga you deserve it and much more!

BAD NEWS:  Gaga LOST Grammy Award for Song of the Year to “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” (songwriters – Thaddis Harrell, Beyoncé Knowles, Terius Nash & Christopher Stewart).  uh… BULLSHIT!  Single Ladies was an excellent video, one of the best, but best song was POKER FACE!  (I’m ok, just ranting)

THEN Gaga LOST Grammy Award for Record of the Year to “Use Somebody” by Kings Of Leon (producers – Jacquire King & Angelo Petraglia; engineer/mixer – Jacquire King).  Hmmm… no bueno.

AND FINALLY… Gaga LOST Grammy Award for Album of the Year  to Fearless by Taylor Swift (producers – Nathan Chapman & Taylor Swift; engineers/mixers – Nathan Chapman & Justin Niebank).  WTF?!!  Seriously?  I love Taylor Swift, but again Lady Gaga is revolutionizing the music industry and deserves much more recognition and awards than her peers.  Her album is excellent.  AND for Christ’s sake she opened up the Grammys with SIR ELTON JOHN… hello hypocrites of the Grammy Foundation?!!!  Here’s a little excerpt from the foundation’s mission statement:

“Mission:  The GRAMMY Foundation was established in 1989 to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture — from the artistic and technical legends of the past to the still unimagined musical breakthroughs of future generations of music professionals.”

Sounds like Gaga to me.  No doubt she’s the “unimagined musical breakthrough” artist not Taylor Swift, Beyonce, or Kings of Leon.  Gaga inspires, titillates, and entertains.  That Speechless ballad with Sir Elton John was pure magic.  “…how wonderful life is with Gaga in the world.” – Sir Elton John.   Nuf said.

Love you Gaga.  Next year baby!
