The Year of Lady Gaga, 2009

December 31, 2009

My last year’s post will be dedicated to the most badass lady on the planet… LADY GAGA.  Cause she’s a free bitch, baby.

Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta; March 28, 1986, has pushed the envelope as far as a musical performer is concerned.  She can do it all and entertain everyone.  She’s a talented singer, songwriter, and former burlesque dancer.  She can play the piano like a mother f*cker and totally kicks ass a glam rocker (typically wearing no pants).  “She is inspired by fashion, which she has said is an essential component to her songwriting and performances.  To date she has sold over 20 million digital singles and eight million albums worldwide.”  I wish she was around when I was a kid.  She really lets herself be whatever she wants and allows her incredible imagination to flow.  Her thumping dance music, extreme fashion, and shocking theater bits make her exotic music videos iconic.  Following her evolving image has become an addicting and a favorite past-time of mine.  I’m completely obsessed with her.  “Mum mum mum mah…”

Erin Wasson is F*cking Radical

December 29, 2009

Erin Wasson is an American blue-chip supermodel born in Irving, Texas January 20,1982.  She’s been on countless international runways, magazine covers, and described as “F*cking Rad” by an admirer.  She has established a bad girl image recognized by her mole, long legs, and low-key sense of street style.  Her modeling agency is IMG, she’s muse to Alexander Wang, and styled his fashion shows for two seasons.  She designs her own jewelry line Low Luv, she launched a womanswear collection for RVCA, she skates a halfpipe in her own backyard, and collects prison art.  She’s head-to-toe Venice Beach surfer chic and pretty much all-around badass.

“Copied by many, achieved by few, her style blends grunge with modern glamour for a look that harks back to the 90s.” 2threads.com
